Welcome to the Yorkshire Dales for our May netwalking event!
This month we will be climbing to the craggy Simon's Seat, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. With views extending into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales (and even as far Pendle Hill in Lancashire), and a nice scramble to the summit, this is our most epic and ambitious netwalk so far.
The power of collaboration
As always, our walks offer a great opportunity to get outdoors and network with other local business owners and professionals, in a stunning location and with a relaxed atmosphere.
The power of networking and making connections, in person, opens up a whole world of support, opportunity and learning, and what better way to do it than on a journey of the body and mind.
I am a massive believer in going out and meeting new people because:
π Launching and running a business is a lonely place to be
πͺ I never know who I'm going to meet and what doors it's going to open
π I can actually help other people with what they're going through
But I do it outdoors because:
π₯ By Friday, I'm tired of being in the office all week and staring at the screen
π It helps me to process all the stuff that's been bombarding my head all week (and actually talk it through with someone)
π‘ It is pure magic for creativity and inspiration - I always come away with new ideas
β° It's just a really nice place to be
The Walk
We will meet, ready to walk, at 1530 in Appletreewick (App'tri'ck if you want to go native). before heading across fields and along quiet country lanes to High Skyreholme at the foot of Simon's Seat. We'll then climb steeply to the summit, take in the views, and then head back down via Howgill before a nice evening stroll along the river back to Appletreewick.
For anyone wanting to continue, we'll head to The Craven Arms which serves food until 8pm.
The event is open to any business owners, sole traders or freelancers in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Harrogate and the surrounding areas who is looking to get outdoors and connect with others.
The walk is timed at approximately 3 1/2 hours. We should be back at (or just before) sunset.
We look forward to getting to know you!
This netwalking event will be guided by Ant.
